    South Lakeland District Council has been awarded £2.35m for the joint delivery of a series of projects in the Morecambe Bay area.
    £1m is for SLDC to deliver enhancements to the Promenade and Lido.

    2. A new children’s play area on the Promenade;
    3. Upgraded electrical and digital services to the Promenade and to the Lido site, to enable activities such as outdoor arts performances, and improving digital connectivity and facilities;

    The Carnival Band is coming to Grange

    The Carnival Band will be performing in the Victoria Hall on Friday 17th May 2019 at 7.30pm.
    From the riotous pre-Lent carnivals of medieval Europe to the midwinter revelry of the Lord of Misrule, The Carnival Band take us through the year, imaginatively weaving folk, historical and contemporary strands from England and abroad into a rich tapestry of seasonal celebration.  Playing an extraordinary mix of instruments, their blend of folk, world, classical and contemporary influences defies definition.  "Purists must have been squirming.  The rest of us were having too much fun to care!" (York Press) www.carnivalband.com
    Tickets: £12 available from Grange Information Centre either in person or Tel: 015395 34026

    We are looking for volunteers!

    The Grange Information Centre at the Victoria Hall is a great way to get involved with our community.  It's a hub for residents as well as visitors.
    We are looking for people to join our friendly team of volunteers to help in the Information Centre.  Training will be given, don't worry, you don't have to know everything about Grange before you volunteer!
    Could you spare just 3 hours a week: either a morning or an afternoon?
    We are open seven days a week in summer and any day you could help would be appreciated.
    Call Lynne on 015395 34026 email infocentremanager@grangeoversands.net to find out more.
