    Grange-over-Sands Town Council is pleased to announce the launch of its newly redesigned website.

    The new site has been created to be easier to use, more accessible, and better organised, making it simpler for residents, businesses and visitors to find the information they need. With improved navigation, clearer layouts and enhanced accessibility features, the website provides a more user-friendly experience across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.

    The refreshed platform also offers improved access to council news, meeting information, community updates and key documents, helping to keep the community better informed and connected.

    Residents are encouraged to explore the new website and share any feedback to help continue improving the online service.

    Christmas and Prom Loos update

    The Grange Town Council office will be closed from Tuesday 23 December until Monday 5 January 2026. If you need to contact the Town Council urgently during this time, please contact one of the Town Councillors and they will get hold of a member of staff. The Councillors' contact details are all listed on this site under 'Town Council'.


    We know that the Prom loos are closed, this is because the water supply to the Prom stopped suddenly on 19 December. We are working closely with Westmorland and Furness Council (who own the Prom and manage the water supply) to get this sorted out as soon as possible.

    Tender Opportunity - Grounds Maintenance

    Grange-over-Sands Recreation Ground

    Grange-over-Sands Town Council is inviting experienced contractors to tender for grounds maintenance work at the Recreation Ground on the Promenade.


    Contractors can apply for the full contract or selected elements, including an optional separate tender for tall hedge and boundary work.


    Work includes:

    Grass cutting, sweeping and weed control.

    Maintenance of putting greens, crazy golf area, tennis courts, skate park, MUGA and street workout area.


    Deadline for quotes: 30 January 2026

    Contract starts: 30 March 2026

    Remembrance in Grange November 2025

    ​This will take place on Sunday 9 November 2025, with the Civic Service of Remembrance at 2pm at St. Pauls Church, then the laying of wreaths at the War Memorial in the Ornamental Gardens.

    On Tuesday 11 November, a short service and minute silence will be held at the War Memorial.

    All are invited.
