All of us are aware of the war unfolding in Ukraine and its impact on people's lives there, and here. Grange residents are always willing to support people in difficulty in our town and surrounding villages, and internationally. We are supporting Ukrainian people in a variety of humanitarian ways - doing what we can, when we can.

To date, there were quick collections of clothes, medicines, toiletries, children's items, sleeping bags and tents which were sent to central collection depots in the North West and taken to Ukraine.

Churches Together held a vigil at the Millennium Peace Pavement in the Ornamental Gardens on 12/03/22 to share thoughts and prayers for people suffering in both Ukraine and Russia.

Coming up is a fundraising concert with the band Black Sheep on Monday 28/03/22 from 6pm - 9pm in the Victoria Hall, organised by local, Polish resident, Ania, whose family in Poland are directly involved in charities working across the border with Ukraine to assist refugee families in need. This free concert is to say thank you to all the people who have already donated, and is also part of her ongoing fundraising efforts.

Please see our What's On page for more details.
